Fu Shuangjian, deputy director of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, revealed that amending the Trademark Law has been included in the State Council's legislative plan for this year and the draft for review has been submitted to the State Council's Legal Affairs Office. There are also plans to amend the Anti-Unfair Competition Law in the future.
On how to effectively combat trademark violations, Fu Shuangjian said that in the future, we will unswervingly implement the national intellectual property strategy, and at the same time, we need to improve the level of creation, application, protection and management of intellectual property.
In response to the widespread concern about online infringement, Fu Shuangjian stated that the State Administration for Industry and Commerce has issued a document, "Interim Measures for the Administration of Network Goods Trading and Related Services." In the future, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce will also issue two more documents, one on cross-regional law enforcement and the other on the collection of electronic evidence.
